Hawaii Institutes Harsh Non Smoking Laws

Hawaii Institutes Harsh Non Smoking Laws

I want to make something abundantly clear. While I am a smoker, I am, for the most part, completely
OK with anti-smoking laws, especially in restaurants and bars. I honestly am.

However, this quote is just obnoxious:
"I love it. I'm so happy to be able to breathe again," said tourist Debbie Liston, 40, of Seattle.
She makes it sound as if she's being followed around by people puffing on cigars.
The fact is that, unless she works in a smoking environment or lives in a smoking environment, she's almost certainly breathing in more harmful fumes from cars.
I'm not making light of second hand smoke, just the idea that in Hawaii, which she only visits, where only 17% or the people smoke, that somehow she is walking around in a noxious cloud.
I am a smoker.
It is unfortunate.
But there's no need to get quite so snooty about being a non-smoker.
I don't make fun of your body oder, do I?
I don't want to throw you off a cliff for driving an SUV, do I?
Ok, yes, I do.
How about this..
"Hawaii is doing away with McDonalds? Great! I'll finally be able to walk around without getting sickened by the sight of obese people in bathing suits."
Jesus.
I need a gun.
